The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.

The Kairos Inside Ministry is a Christian faith based ministry which addresses the spiritual needs of incarcerated women and their families. By sharing the love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ, Kairos hopes to change hearts, transform lives and impact the world. As a ministry, Kairos embraces a diverse group of volunteers working together to fulfill Christ's call to action in Matthew 25:36.

Ours is a non-denominational Christian ministry serving the incarcerated women at CCWF. We are committed to taking God's unconditional love to His daughters at CCWF with the hope that they will find peace, purpose, redemption and hope in the person of Jesus Christ and that not only will their lives be changed but that the ripples will be felt throughout the prison.

Our Advisory Council and whole team comes from a variety of Churches in the Valley, Central Coast and Bay Area. We come together as HIS body to make a difference in HIS name for HIS glory. We hold two 3 ½ day retreats for 42 participants twice a year (President's Day and Labor Day weekends) and monthly reunions that are 3 hours one Saturday a month in which all alumni of a 3-½ day Kairos weekend are invited to attend. We need your help. There are many opportunities for you to serve in this ministry. All we ask is that you have a willing heart and a spirit of obedience and you can play a crucial role in God's ministry of Changing Hearts, Transforming Lives and Impacting the World. Here's some basic information to help you "get involved."

Kairos Inside is composed of well-organized and well-trained volunteer teams of men and women from the communities surrounding an institution who present an introductory 3-day weekend, described as a short course in Christianity. This inter-denominational team of volunteers - both clergy and laypersons - works in cooperation with the Chaplain who carefully selects up to 42 inmate leaders to attend. Well organized follow-up is part of this program.

Kairos volunteers come from all walks and strata of life. They all share a desire to follow Christ's admonition of Matthew 25:36, "I was in prison and you visited me." If you feel God's call to minister to the incarcerated, the female family member of someone incarcerated, as a part of a Kairos team. Not all team members serve inside correctional institutions.

Each Kairos retreat weekend has opportunities for outside support, such as baking cookies, writing letters of support, or preparing meals. Get your church's Sunday school classes to color placemats for mealtime in prison.
